A fast, broad shade tree with a long history in Lebanon. The fruitless forms are the ones to plant near paving and parking, where fruiting varieties would stain. Casts dense summer shade and lets the winter sun through.
Planting & care
Full sun, any reasonable soil, water through establishment. Tolerates hard pruning, which is how the classic pollarded street form is maintained.
