About this plant
The narrow dark-green column used to frame entrances, line driveways and screen boundaries in a strip barely two metres wide. Slow to need attention and long-lived, it gives vertical structure that nothing else provides in the same footprint.
Planting & care
Any well-drained soil, full sun. Space 1.5-2 m apart for a solid screen. Needs no formative pruning; remove only damaged growth, since cutting into old brown wood does not regrow.
