Indian Laurel Fig
Ficus microcarpa nitida
About this plant
The standard clipped street and boundary tree of the region: dense, glossy, endlessly forgiving of shearing, and available as a standard, a column or a screen. The workhorse of commercial and municipal planting.
Planting & care
Full sun to part shade, regular water. Keep well away from drains, foundations and paving - the roots are aggressive. Trim two or three times a year to keep a formal shape.
